NextGen & Academy Ski Camp at RCC/Gatineau Park – January 29-31

It was another great weekend for Ontario’s NextGen & Academy program athletes during our ski training camp in Gatineau Park and Rideau Canoe Club.  Ontario athletes joined forces with Quebec’s Academy team and completed their final winter strength and 1500m run testing at RCC and Carleton U.

After testing was completed the athletes spent the rest of the weekend improving their ski technique and getting a ton of KM’s in Gatineau Park.  They even found some time (and energy) to go downhill skiing and play some pond hockey on Saturday night.

Thank you to Rideau Canoe Club for hosting our athletes, as well as the coaches Mark Granger, Rob Stott, Stu Wilson, Diana Deek, Wade Farquharson, Joel Hazzan, Peter Niedre, Julie Beaulieu and James Cunningham from CSIO.

Check out our Facebook page to view camp photos.
